Things to know - FAQ

What do you need to know about the Carving Masters?

The Carving Masters is a non-profit event, by boarders for boarders. We organize this event in our free time because we want to make a difference in our sport. If something should not fit or not work at the event - we are sorry!

Where can I get my Carving Pass?

You can get the Carving Pass at Sport4You near the Giggijochbahn, directly on the main road, on the right side when you enter Sölden (Dorfstraße 40, 6450 Sölden,
Tel: 0043 5254 30610, [LINK]). Just ask for it there.

What do I need the Carving Pass for?

With the Carving Pass you can get a discounted ski pass at the valley stations of the cable cars. Simply show it when you buy a ski pass. With the Carving Pass you support us in the organisation of the Carving Masters, not financially, but Sölden sees that there is something going on here! And, the Carving Pass is a nice memory for you.

Where is the Carving Masters base?

The base is on the open area of the glacier stadium at the Rettenbach glacier. There you can either go there by car or - if still open - you can reach the glacier by board via the Golden Gate from the Giggijoch (winter ski area).

How can I borrow test material?

Just show your Carving Pass to the manufacturer and you will receive a test board. Attention: Please always carry your passport with you, some manufacturers need it additionally.

Where will the dinner take place?

Where the dinner takes place you can see in the events. We choose the location so that there is as much space as possible and we get a good quality meal. This is not easy at the end of the season - so the location can be a bit off the beaten track.

How do I register for dinner, why do I have to register?

In the event list you will find a registration form, please fill it out - you will receive a confirmation afterwards. If you should NOT be able to participate, please let us know as soon as possible.
Why register? The restaurant has to plan accordingly and we have limited space. The motto is: First come, first serve!

What courses are there?

In the past, we have posted courses in advance, which unfortunately did not have the desired resonance. Therefore, we have switched over to the direct posting of courses. Riding together is more effective and more fun for everyone.

Where can I find information about the courses?

Just talk to the boarders or the manufacturers directly on the slope or at the base - that way you will meet new people, get better at boarding and the organizers will have a nice, casual time. Win Win!

Where's the cordoned-off runway?

On the closed off piste there are some courses, racetracks are closed off and the participants of the Carving Masters can use the piste freely. The piste is next to the tug Seiterjöchel.

Is there a photo / video session?

Yes, this will probably take place on the closed track - please check the Facebook announcements and the program. We react here very promptly to weather, conditions and demand.

Group photo - you were there!

Please come to the group photo - this is the most beautiful memory for us! A small thank you!

Where can I find the latest information / news?

We post on Facebook and here in the blog - is something missing, are there any questions? Please write to us and we can provide the information!
